Konfabulator, the Popular widget developers has been acquired by Yahoo recently and now mass widgets (similar to Apple Tiger’s Widget) is available for you to style up your desktop. Yahoo! Launched Widget Engine 3.0 with over 2,000 widgets available for download.
If you don’t know what widgets are by now you better get on board. It makes life much easier by putting information you want on your desktop without significantly slowing down your computer. Example: Weather widgets gives you forecast and weather updates instantly, Yahoo maps allows accessing Yahoo maps directly from your desktop, Search widgets lets you perform search functions from your desktop.
