NYC In Chaos with MTA on an Illegal Strike

“At about 3 AM last night, the Transportation Workers Union officially began their strike against the MTA, shutting down the city’s subways and bus lines and transforming New York from a functioning metropolis to a a hell of an inconvenience.”

Companies are stuck with a shortage of workers that can’t make the commute. For those that are adventurous enough to walk or bike to work they will have to deal with blistering winds and freezing temperatures as low as 25F today.

Traffic has just been insane with with cars coming from all direction, through every side street possible. Workers are protesting hard outside every subway station. The Union has been press to receive a fine of a million dollars for each day it stays on strike.

Is it me or does it seem like the MTA does this every year. They complain about being under paid just about every year these days, but in fact they make an extremely competitive salary.

Do you need to get in to the city? HOV in effect from 6-11, make sure you have 4 occupants in the car or you won’t be able to cross the bridge!
