What An Intel Chip Doing in a MAC

Posted on 12 January 2006 by Tommy

Intel’s New Duo chips are not only powering PCs But now MACs as well.

With the New release of the MacBook Pros and the upgraded iMacs they will both be housing the new Dual core Intel Chips that have just been released.

MacBookPro

The All new MacBook Pro comes in two models, 1.67 and a 1.83 core duo coupled with a 15.4in wide screen. They have been rated to be 4-5x faster then the already speedy Power Books. It features the built in iSight for use with iChat and the new iLife 2006 package, which I will go more in detail with a later post. Front for the first time is made standard on a notebook to provide the ultimate road entertainment center. With the included Apple Remote you can control your videos, music, movies, and more. Front Row lets you quickly navigate through your work and play from anywhere in the room. You can even use the Apple Remote to navigate through Keynote presentations as well. With the extra added power comes a 67% more brighter screen then the Power Books line. Plus safety features like the new MagSafe.

The new power adapter with MagSafe connector is designed to magnetically guide your cord into place and disconnect smoothly if someone (else) trips over it.

The Upgraded iMac just got more all-in-one Power with the new Duo Core form Intel.

Rev up your digital life at speeds twice as fast as the previous iMac.

Twin Power The Intel Core Duo and a whole new architecture give iMac up to twice the horsepower it had previously, accelerating your digital life
