Online web development is back. Google’s Page Creator is very similar to Yahoo’s Geo Cities and AOL’s Hometown. It’s aimed at users that really want to get a web page up and running, but don’t have the background to it on there own.

With this tool you can literally create a page in less then 2 minutes, even if you have no knowledge what so ever in web designing. No worries about the hosting either Google provides it all.

Page Creator has been created to be user friendly and houses a host of features. It’s very much comparable to using Microsoft FrontPage. What you see is what you get, an interface that allows to preview every step of the way without any coding. With that said, FrontPage’s down fall was that it didn’t set or follow any standards, I’m not too sure if Google Page Creator indeed complies with web standards either. That would be interesting to find out.
