Amie Street – Music On Demand

Posted on 24 July 2006 by Tommy

Amie StreetMore and more protest has been place on DRM-Free music. With prices getting lower and lower for music downloads it will be only a matter of time til it’s free.

Amie Street founded by RI college students : Elliott Breece, Elias Roman and Joshua Boltuch has done just that. Free music to the public and price driven on demand. Artists upload their music to Amie Street for promotion and sale. Users form social networks, listen to, and purchase music. All songs are DRM-free in MP3 and begin at $0, as the demand for the song increase so does the price. The demand based pricing model seems to be an awesome one. The artist gets paid and the customers get more flexibility to chose and buy.

This site is still very early in its alpha stage and you might come across a batch of dead features. To learn more about this awesome service check it out at Amie Street
